Yoga and Meditation Retreat (14, 15, 16 & 17th April 2017)

An event that will touch your inner self. This event is planned to be a retreat for your mind and body. Dive into this journey with our senior practitioners who will share their in-depth knowledge and experience with Rajadhiraja Yoga and Meditation. The venue is set in a calm and peaceful environment near Lake Moogerah (an hour away from Brisbane). The entire event will be held over 4 days and 3 nights. Each day offers a rich schedule of events including kiirtans, meditation, yoga, group activities including sports, workshops, as well as evening cultural programs. Accommodation and meals will be provided. Please note that only basic cabins and facilities will be available for accommodation. All meals including breakfast, lunch and dinner will be strictly vegetarian with no onions, garlic and mushrooms.

The venue is Camp Moogerah which is set in 20 picturesque acres, right on the scenic shores of Lake Moogerah. Just over an hour from Brisbane, Camp Moogerah is close to national parts with popular bush walks and spectacular mountain views, in the heart of the Scenic Rim.

Just over an hour from Brisbane, Camp Moogerah is close to national parks with popular bush walks and spectacular mountain views, in the heart of the Scenic Rim.

Please note: Extra activities such as Guided Kayaking, High Ropes Course challenges, Indoor Rock Climbing, Archery and Tubing are additional $22 per person, per activity for a minimum of 10 people, and must be booked in advance.

  • Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
    No
  • What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
    You need to organise your own transport. Bus is available from Brisbane/Ipswich to Moogerah.
  • What can I bring into the event?
    Please bring basic essentials, insect repellent, a yoga mat. Linen is not supplied, so please bring your own sleeping bags and pillows. Pets and animals must not be brought onto the retreat site. Non-vegetarian food items, alcohol, tobacco or related substances are strictly prohibited.
  • How can I contact the organiser with any questions?

  • What's the refund policy?
    We will fully refund you if you let us know by 15th January 2017. Afterwards, you can receive 50% refund up until 13th April 2017. No refund is available after the retreat has started.
  • Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
    Yes. A ticket will be emailed to you.
  • Who is the organiser Lotus Ashram Brisbane ?
    A non-profit organisation that has been working in the Brisbane/Australia regions, organising events such as yoga classes, meditation sessions, health & lifestyle workshops and annual yoga/meditation retreats.

Healthy Foods. Enjoy freshly cooked, pure vegetarian meals.

All our food items are pure vegetarian, freshly cooked using fresh, natural ingredients and without onion, garlic or mushrooms. You will be pleased to know that we promote satvic, plant-based and cruelty-free diets to nourish our bodies. Please note that our food items do contain nuts, milk products, wheat and gluten.

Meditation in a group benefits most people who attend. At the retreat, you will have several opportunities to learn, participate and practice meditation with senior practioners. All sessions are free to attend at the retreat. Should you wish to arrange for a one-to-one meditation lesson, you will need to make prior arrangements with one of the organisers (note: one-to-one lessons are free of charge)

All beginners and advanced participants are welcome. You will need to bring your own yoga mat and please make sure you dress appropriately as some yoga postures involve stretching, twisting and bending.
